Mr. La'Mone Anthony Gibson is 20yrs. Old. He was born in Buffalo, NY to Nina McCulley and Vernon Gibson.  La'Mone Gibson has seven Brothers& Sisters. He believes in family and that in order for a family to stay together they must pray together. La'Mone has been a member of DeLaine Waring AME Church since birth.  Throughout his membership at DeLaine Waring La'Mone has served on the Usher Board, Christian Education Dpt., Jr. Trustee's Board, Sunday school, and Young People's Division (YPD).  La'Mone has also held many leadership positions in the YPD such as, Financial Secretary to his local YPD for six years. He has also served as Buffalo area President for four years, Financial secretary to the WNYAC YPD, and he now serves as the new Western New York Conference YPD President. La'Mone was also one of the 2008 recipients of the YPD Spot Light Award.

La'Mone graduated from WNY Maritime Charter High School in June of 2008 with a NYS Regents diploma in NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserves Officers Training Corps.). At maritime La'Mone earned numerous Awards, Ribbons, and Leadership positions such as, Squad Leader, Muster in Chief, Drill Team, Drill Team Squad Leader, Community Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, and graduated with honors as Senior Class President of the First Graduating Class of WNY Maritime Charter School in 2008.
La'Mone now attends one of New York State's most prestigious private Jesuits institutions called Canisius College with a FULL 5yr. Scholarship.  At Canisius La'Mone has become known extremely well throughout the campus as "the church boy."  He has already begun his networking efforts on campus and began to be involved throughout the campus by; being voted President of his dorm building, he also serves on the Alana Programming Committee which is a committee that plans most student events and extracurricular activities. He also serves as a Student Assistant to the Disability Support Services office where he reads test, quizzes, and exams to the disabled students and also proctors exams. He currently studies a dual major in Criminal Justice and Political Science with a focus in Juvenile Delinquency. He plans to fulfill his life time dream of working with and saving the lives of young African American males from being labeled delinquents and help them stay in school, be successful, and teach them the fundamentals of life they may need help in. He has a passion for youth.

Due to his passion for God and young people, La'Mone has accepted God's calling into the ministry.  God has called La'Mone to assist in the ministering to young people. His plan is to use his education from Canisius to go on to either Law or Seminary after graduation. It's still up in the air awaiting God's direction. However, either way he will eventually do both.  Oh and he's a security guard so watch out for his flash light.

La'Mone's favorite scripture is John 3:16… "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son and who so ever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." He lives his life following this scripture and when he feels discouraged, angry, upset, or like giving up he recites this scripture which reminds him of what our Savior Jesus Christ has been through which re-inspires his spirit and faith!
