What's Good 1st District!!

I am truly honored and humbled to be your new 1st Episcopal District YPD President. I really want to thank each and every one of you who have kept me in your prayers and showed me love throughout this entire journey. I am ready to take the 1st District to a whole new level that has never been done before. In order to understand where we are going, I think it's important that you get to know a few things about me.

I am 24 years old, born July 8, 1985, living in Brooklyn NY. I have been independent since the age of 17. I was a child in the foster care system for 9 years in NYC and I have successfully aged out of the system at the age of 21. Through my late foster mother whom I called my grandmother, Ms. Betty Robinson I became a member of Bridge St AME Church where Rev. David B Cousin Sr. is my pastor. I have been a member of Bridge St since December 1997 and throughout my time with Bridge St. I have grown up in leadership roles to where I am a dynamic youth leader for my church.

I currently attend the Borough of Manhattan Community College where I am currently studying Business Administration. I am a Youth Advocate with the Administration for Children's Services, NYC's Foster Care System. My ultimate goal in life: To become President of the United States.

Now why am I telling you this? Because this is just some of the qualities and characteristics that I bring to this position of leadership. I am a person of great ambition, energy, love, excitement, and passion and for the next few years, you all will see just that. Together we will shake up the foundations of the 1st District YPD that will pave the way for us; the Young generation to be active and play a vital role in doing the work for God.
