Going Green

Purpose:

The Going Green Committee was designed to offer assisting ways that we as Christians can implement practices to help save our planet and communities from constant destruction, and pollution that affects our health and the environments in which we live. It also urges all levels of our Zion to assist in helping all nations worldwide to help cleans up our act from all human created harm done to our planet and resulting in the Global warming issues we are presently experiencing.

Goals:

That all local Churches participate in recycling acts that will help to conserve paper and energy.
Churches will encourage their congregations to and consume unpackaged or minimally packaged foods instead of purchasing foods that come in widespread packaging which is petroleum based plastic packaging for all church fellowships and activities.
Every Church will become Green Certified houses of Worship and corporations.

Objective:

That our Zion will serve as a model for all denominations and forms of Christian faith in incorporating our works with helping to save the environment.
