Delaware Conference

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am Monica Johnson the President of the Delaware Conference. Currently I am a senior at the Charter School of Wilmington and will graduate in 2010. In the future I hope to attend college and major in one of the sciences, ultimately, pursuing a career in the Medical Field. In addition to school, I volunteer at inner-city elementary schools mentoring children and at the Ronald McDonald House. I am a second degree black belt working at Mile High Karate as an instructor. When I am not at school, volunteering or at the dojo, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies and playing Guitar Hero with friends.

I attend Bethel A.M.E. Church in Wilmington , Delaware where Reverend Silvester Scott Beaman is Pastor. At Bethel I serve in Christian Education, Choir, Usher board, and YPD. It is through YPD that I am privileged to be able to serve this Dynamic Conference as president. For the future of the Delaware Conference, it is my mission to take the Conference to new heights. I hope to bring the conference together by “bridging the gap” between the two areas and increasing membership. I feel as though together the Delaware Conference YPD will excel.
